Applications for volunteer positions with the inaugural Gallipoli Games has commenced.
The Gallipoli Games are being held as part of the 100th year commemorative events, under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
University athletes from the seven countries which fought during the Battle of Gallipoli – Australia, New Zealand, France, Great Britain, Germany, India and Turkey – will compete in the games.
A spokesperson from the Gallipoli Games organizing committee said: “We’re looking for volunteers who can work with us in Canakkale between 24-29 April, and in Istanbul on 29-30 April. Volunteers will be required to assist with logistical duties and work closely with the communications team. Applicants should be able to speak English, while French and/or German will be a bonus.”
Transport costs to and from Istanbul, as well as accommodation and meals in Istanbul and Canakkale, will be covered.
Applicants are required to submit a short cover letter and their CV to firstname.lastname@example.org by 3pm on Friday, 3rd of April 2015.
